Welcome
This is the official website of the South East School Of Anaesthesia, also know as SESA. It aims to provide information to all trainees working in the region as well as to doctors thinking of applying.
SESA is recognised by the Royal College Of Anaesthetists. The training programme takes place over 7 years and is competency based. A Certificate of Completion of Training is awarded upon successful completion of the objectives set out in the programme.
Guidance
This website will provide you with everything you need to progress through your training including links to various organisations that you may wish to contact.
All the downloadable paperwork that you will require can be found grouped together in the Assessments and Forms Section for quick reference. Alternatively you can access them at the appropriate stages in the individual step-by-step guides taking you through your training.
Fellowships
Fellowships will be advertised in the following sections of the website: Subspeciality fellowships, Intensive Care and Advanced Pain. Please look at these pages regularly to remain up to date.
Calendar
A SESA website calendar has been developed to help keep you up to date with events, courses, exams etc. The calendar will be constantly updated so refer to it regularly to help plan your training needs.
News
All new important information added to the site will also be added to the News page for quick reference.
Books
A Books section containing a number texts relating to anaesthesia and its sub-specialities has been created for you to browse. Books that may be of use for the Primary FRCA and Final FRCA are also included.
